Editorial Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Helpful Info Base publishes consumer-safety and practical verification guides. This policy explains how topics are selected, researched, reviewed, updated, and corrected.
Selection and added value
A search trend, news report, or recall notice may identify a reader problem, but none is sufficient reason to publish. An assignment must answer a specific decision, be supportable with reliable evidence, and add practical value beyond restating the originating source. We reject near-duplicate pages, routine recaps, unsupported rumors, and pages created only to target a keyword variation.
Sources and verification
Primary sources are preferred: government recalls, regulator guidance, company notices, official documentation, and original public records. Reputable secondary reporting may identify a story or provide context, but material claims are checked against the best available underlying evidence. Articles identify uncertainty and changing facts rather than presenting them as settled.
Originality
Articles should save the reader work through an identification table, comparison, decision tree, checklist, annotated image, documented contact, calculation, or another useful element created for this publication. We do not scrape or lightly rewrite another publisher’s article. Quotations are limited and attributed.
AI assistance
AI tools may assist with research organization, document comparison, outlining, and editing. Every source, factual claim, link, image right, and final sentence must be manually reviewed. AI is not used to publish batches of substantially similar pages.
Independence and limitations
Editorial conclusions are not dictated by advertisers or sponsors. Commercial relationships will be disclosed where applicable. The site provides general information and does not replace medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected after verification. Significant changes are noted when an undated correction could mislead a returning reader. Reports can be submitted through the Contact page.
